Signs You Need A Power Flush
If you notice cold spots on your radiators, with the upper part heating up while the bottom stays cold, sludge build-up may be blocking water flow. Noises like banging, gurgling, or whistling from your boiler or radiators indicate trapped air and debris, reducing efficiency. A slow heating system, where your home takes longer than usual to warm up, often points to restricted circulation. Higher energy bills can also be a sign, as a clogged system forces your boiler to work harder. Also, discoloured or dirty water when you bleed your radiators indicates sludge build-up.

Power Flushing Packages
We offer three power-flushing packages to suit your needs:
-
Up to 9 Radiators: £450
-
Up to 12 Radiators: £500
-
Over 12 Radiators: £500 + £20 per additional radiator
All packages include system cleaning chemicals, an inhibitor to prevent corrosion, and a radiator valve health check. We ensure valves turn freely, test thermostatic radiator valve pins, and inspect open vented systems. If needed, we will clean the tank and check the cold feed.

Magnetic Filter Services And Pricing
If you don’t have a magnetic filter, we offer:
-
1 MagnaClean Professional Magnetic Filter for £150
-
Honeywell Home 2/3 Port Valve Replacement at £150

Additional Flushing Services & Upgrades
We offer several additional services to further enhance the efficiency and longevity of your heating system. Our magnetic filter installation helps capture future sludge build-up, ensuring the continued health of your system. After a power flush, we apply an inhibitor treatment to prevent future corrosion and sludge accumulation. We install new thermostat valves (TRVs) to improve temperature control, offering more precise heating management in each room. In areas with hard water, our limescale and corrosion protection treatment reduces future build-up, helping maintain system efficiency for the long term.
Great Service
Thanks for the great service from Wayne. The service was professional. I explained all the issues identified and corrected from the start of the visit to the end, and the cleaning and tidying up were excellent. I would recommend Wayne to my family and friends.
No1 Power Flush Service
The service was very prompt, and now our central heating has never worked better. We had the full power flush, which looked like it was well overdue, looking at the sludge blown out of our radiators.
-
What is a powerflush?Simply put, power-flushing is a process which involves using specialised equipment, to remove the build-up of sludge (magnetite) from your central heating system. This includes radiators, boiler, pipework and other intricate parts which the water circulates through.
-
What result should I expect after a powerflush has been carried out?You should expect warmer radiators, no more cold spots if previously present, a more efficiently working boiler, smoother running of water throughout the system (less noise) and an annual saving on your heating bills
-
How often should a powerflush be carried out?As a general rule of thumb, we would recommend a powerflush be carried out every five years. This will ensure sludge isn't left to accumulate to high levels which can create blockages and slow your system down.
-
If I purchase a package, will there be any hidden extras? No there will be no hidden extras. However, please note, on the day of the powerflush we may encounter issues that are already present that cannot be rectified by a powerflush alone. For example, a seized or failing central heating pump or broken valve etc. We would always advise of this onsite, give enough information and a quote to allow you to decide if you would like this additional work to be undertaken.
-
Is the work guaranteed?Clean water will be present in your system immediately after the powerflush has been carried out but unfortunately, we cannot offer a guarantee as the water will inevitably start to cause rust in time. Oxidisation is unavoidable and the best way to keep your system clean is by having your system powerflushed every 5 years and protected by using corrosion inhibitor every one to two years.
-
Can powerflusing damage my system?Powerflushing can only damage parts of your system that were already in need of repair or replacement. For example, pitted radiators or degraded valves
-
How long does the average powerflush take?On average between 4 - 8 hours depending on the severity of the sludge build up and size of the system
